Roosevelts is a classic American grill with a western flare located in the heart of Jackson Hole. Locally owned and operated, we serve lunch and dinner steps away from the historic Town Square. An ode to President Theodore Roosevelt - conservationist, outdoorsman and lover of the American West - we honor the classics while adding frontier favorites like jalapeno popper dip and deep-fried Mexican street corn.

In the spring of 1903, President Theodore Roosevelt visited Wyoming as part of his tour across the American West which included a two week stay in Yellowstone National Park. The President arrived in Gardiner, Montana by train. He would revisit Gardiner at the end of his Yellowstone trip to dedicate a new arched gateway to the park, Roosevelt Arch. His extensive visit of the park left an undeniable mark on the President and helped shape his reverence for nature and legacy of conservation. Read more here.

After President Roosevelt completed his tour of Yellowstone, he went on to visit Newcastle, Evanston, Laramie and Cheyenne. His speeches across the Cowboy State centered on three main themes, good citizenship, resource development and conservation. The President famously participated in a 65-mile ride from Laramie to Cheyenne, and then spent two days in the Capital City.

Teddy Roosevelt was perhaps the greatest conservationist in our nation’s history, establishing five national parks, 150 national forests, four national game preserves, 18 national monuments, 51 federal bird reservations and 21 reclamation projects. Nearly 230 million acres across the United States were preserved by President Roosevelt. Jackson Hole and the greater Yellowstone ecosystem continue to benefit from his dedication to conservation and love of the great American West.

For that, we tip our hat to Teddy Roosevelt!
